JACOB FEINSPANEXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jacob Feinspan is the Executive Director of Jews United for Justice Campaign Fund and our sister organization, Jews United for Justice, which organizes the Jewish community to lead campaigns for economic, social, and racial justice in the Baltimore – Washington region. In his decade at the helm, JUFJ has grown ten-fold and is now a key change-making institution in the region. In recent years, JUFJ has led the campaign that won paid family and medical leave for half a million workers in Washington, and played a key role in winning major policing reforms, protections for renters, and a higher minimum wage.

Before joining JUFJ, Jacob founded the advocacy program at American Jewish World Service and coordinated anti-poverty advocacy and grant-making at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. He is a Wexner Field Fellow, was named one of 16 Faith Leaders to Watch in 2016 by Center for America Progress, and serves on the boards of the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable, DC Fiscal Policy Institute, DC Working Families, the Working Families Party, and the Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism. Jacob lives with his wife Suzanne and children Mikah and Noam in Wheaton, MD.
