In Baltimore, Maryland, Montgomery County, Washington, DC

We all know that the Fall is full of Jewish holidays, but did you know that there’s a new one that was just added to the calendar? This year it falls on November 4th through 6th, and it’s called The Festival of Votes.

The Festival of Votes is observed in many different ways by many different Jews, like all of our holidays. If you are in Washington, DC, you might celebrate it by handing out literature at your own polling place. If you’re in Montgomery County, MD, you might do the same thing, but at a metro station. Here are the celebrations that the JUFJ Campaign Fund is planning this year:

Sunday, November 4: the first day and night of the Festival of Votes

Montgomery County

Celebrate the first day by handing out JUFJ Campaign Fund literature at metro stations and knocking on doors to get out the vote for Ben Jealous and Susie Turnbull. After sundown, join us as we call our community to remind everyone to vote for Marc Elrich, Brian Frosh, Ben and Susie, and Questions 1 and 2.

Baltimore

Spend the day knocking on doors in Baltimore County to tell everyone about Ben Jealous, Susie Turnbull, Johnny Olszewski, and Brian Frosh. After sundown, join us to call the JUFJ Campaign Fund community and remind them about the candidates and issues they should support on Tuesday.
