In the spring of 2016, the JUFJ Campaign Fund endorsed three candidates for DC Council in the Democratic primary. Leon Andrews, Trayon White, and Robert White all share a deep commitment to fighting inequality, a solid record of working on behalf of the District’s most vulnerable, and the highest ethical standards. Read about this endorsement here.

In June of that year, Trayon and Robert won huge upsets and moved on to the General Election on November 8. Leon made an impressively strong showing in a race that local pundits thought would be a cakewalk for the incumbent.

We continued to support Trayon and Robert through November, and added our support of David Grosso’s campaign to the mix.
